Fueling the Body:

Nutrition and Recovery are the bases to a pyramid of success in becoming fit.  A commitment to CrossFit is only part of the equation to a healthy lifestyle.  What you are putting into your body as fuel will directly affect your success at CrossFit Pursuit.  We do not prescribe fad diets.  We recommend eating a balanced diet of “healthy foods” that will allow you to run at an optimal level.  You would not put diesel fuel into a car designed for gasoline yet this is what most Americans are doing.  Yes, the car would run for a while but you will eventually be replacing parts or ruining the car altogether.

What is a balanced diet?

A balanced diet is adequate proportions of carbohydrates, protein and fat at each and every meal. Some may have heard of 40-30-30 (40% carbohydrates, 30% protein and 30% fat) and others may be more familiar with The Zone. We are not nutritionists and don't prescribe nutrition plans, but we have experience training individuals of all fitness levels and have observed the most efficient and greatest fitness successes from those who eat a balanced diet of nutrient-rich foods. We are happy to share the tips and knowledge we have acquired through our experiences.
